i'm still kinda new with the whole nature and EV's and i'm not familiar with all of the moves in the game, nevermind all nearly 400 pokemon. Toxic is an alternative to Stun Spore, if youre into that. Other trainers have also used Butterfree, including Richie, Drew and Solidad. I just started on FR and LG so if i appear like a noob it's because i kinda am, eventhough i mastered RBY. THIS IS WHAT I HATE A BOUT EVREY WEBSITE THERES SO MUCH PEOPLE READING AND POSTING STUIPED STUFF. Mega Drain serves as coverage against Omanyte and Graveler, though Butterfree will still lose versus the latter unless it's weakened beforehand. When I used butterfree I used Sleep Powder, Stun Spore, Substitute and Giga Drain, although venomoth is infinitly cooler.
Psychic is Butterfree's most powerful attack, and it's serviceable against common threats like Nidoqueen and Machamp. butterfree is probably not the best of pokemon, but i think with the right movesets he can be at least decent. Sleep Powder and Stun Spore let Butterfree spread status quite effectively. L13 Stun Spore Grass Status Accuracy 75 PP 48 Paralyzes the target. for one reason or another most people probably leave him in the storage after they capture some rares/legendary/OU but who can blame them. L13 Sleep Powder Grass Status Accuracy 75 PP 24 Causes the target to fall asleep.
BUTTERFREE USED STUN SPORE FULL
we're talking full evolution and confusion at level 10. I don't think many people use butterfree probably because of its crappy stats, but i've always been quite fond of it because he's easy to raise and he appears at the beginning of games and evolves early and gives you instant offense when you're starting a new game.
